The history of Bowes
Our company was founded in 1957 by George Dudley Bowes, who along with his wife Flo, and their sons Ashley and Kevin, developed the business to where it is today. Ashley retired in 2006, and Kevin is currently Chairman.

Now in its third generation, Mary, Sally and Charles are involved in the running of the business as directors, along with Adrian Dowling as C.E.O. and a strong team of experienced and dedicated managers.

As a company we are wholly committed to producing top quality pork from our Norfolk base for retail, food service and wholesale - for home and export markets. One of our major customers is Tesco PLC, for whom we produce their Finest*, outdoor reared, standard and value ranges.

We also supply the UK's main meat manufacturers, who make hams, pies, sausages, bacon and processed meats which are found on the shelves and menus of the major retailers and restaurants.
